Catalogue of the Perfins of Belgium, 2nd edition<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2nd version of the Catalogue of the Perfins of Belgium will be presented during the meeting on May 9, 2026.<\/p>\n

In March 2022, we had the pleasure of presenting the 1st edition of this catalogue. This was created in collaboration with Chris Godart and Peter Gommans. This was the first catalogue of Belgium in which the stamps in which the perfins are known were also recorded alongside the various perfins.<\/p>\n

It is therefore not surprising that many reports of \u201cnew\u201d stamps associated with existing perfins were reported very quickly. These were meticulously tracked quarterly by Ton van Schijndel, our editor \/ webmaster. Since the beginning of 2022, this list has already reached 29 pages and contains over 8,500 reports. In addition, 13 entirely new perfins have also emerged.<\/p>\n

This edition is entirely based on the 1st edition.<\/p>\n

The changes are:<\/p>\n

– The 13 new perfins have been included in the correct place<\/p>\n

– Some perfins have been moved (placed in duplicate, from the main list to the public transport list)<\/p>\n

– The 8,500 notifications have been included<\/p>\n

– For a number of perfins, the second, right-hand image also shows which pins have expired over time.<\/p>\n

– For this reason, a chapter explaining the numbering of the pins has also been included in the first chapters<\/p>\n

– All other additions and corrections have been incorporated<\/p>\n

– At the request of many, the A4 catalog has been produced with a hard cover<\/p>\n

– The images on the cover have remained the same, but the outline has turned green instead of blue<\/p>\n

Perfins appear in many different types of stamps, for example postage stamps, railway stamps, service stamps, occupation stamps, newspaper stamps, precancels, and stationery, to name a few. Three catalogues were used for the numbering: the numbering provided by the Official Stamp Catalogue, the Barefoot (Benelux Revenues) catalogue, and the Stationery Catalogue.<\/p>\n
